Another Year Unravels

As another year unravels, we enter it gently, from the sleepy, wonderful world of new baby. We began it with a wonderful visit from the Boddeckers, a snowy white blanket outside, brunch with family and lots of special moments with Emmeline. As she reaches eleven weeks of life in our family we marvel at her.  Even though she's had a rough start with lots of reflux issues we can already tell she is going to be a mover, a thinker, a listener and a gentle heart. As we approach three months we want to always remember the sweet discoveries of life through her eyes- her pure delight in light and sound.  As we settle into quiet new life rhythms (though quiet should be broadly defined here) we find they are good for our whole family. The perspective of this wee girl is one we want to capture too as we begin another year. So we are learning (again) to rejoice in the simple beautiful things that surround us, gifts from God. Emmeline is one of the sweetest of these blessings to start out 2013.

  1. Wonderful! Dad just said how glad Emmeline will be to find these postings when she is writing about her own little one. Nice. A broad definition of quiet is right!! Love from Oma and Opa
