Upside Down

So.... this week was rather upside down.  A hasn't been feeling too well and ended up having his gallbladder out on Saturday.  So, life shifted a bit. Lots of hospital trips and Oma and Opa support! There were lots of questions about Papa's funny "jammies" and his new "boo boos". But he's well on the mend and life goes on. We managed a trip to the Buck's County Children's Museum. What a fun morning! Visiting the ducks and bike rides, Granddad visits and days in PJs have ensued. We even had a late summer tea party for an adopted Auntie.  What a way to end the summer. Here's to a quieter Autumn.

This week

This week has been so full but I'm not sure what we did except try to stay cool.  There have been lots of dress ups happening and playing with winter hats (?),  ballet moves and tears because it was just too hot to do much of anything.  Everyone is feeling a bit wilted, but we're using the inside time to do projects. We've learned about the life-cycle of butterflies and we're memorizing the fruits of the spirit, we've learned about types of coins and can identify the presidents.  We're learning to match leaves with trees and practicing piano.  But this heat makes us feel a bit like mid-winter stuck at home blues because even the sprinkler isn't inviting. Come cool breeze!!
