End of summer days

The last few weeks are a blur and it's hard to believe our Phoebe girl is already six weeks old.  We have had a lot of dear friends and family visit to meet our girl and some extra special events for our big girls. A lost tooth, bikes without training wheels, swimming, 1,000 books before kindergarten party and many other special memories are landmarks of our summer.

One Month

It's been one month since Phoebe hope was born and while it feels as if she was always here, this month happened in the blink of an eye. Though we are bleary eyed in the sleep for 1.5 hours stage we are blessed beyond measure.  We've taken Phoebe for her first walks at the park, showed her our favorite sunset views, gathered monarch caterpillars, wore our glasses (Lena) and spent time introducing her to our friends and family. Though Mama may not know what day of the week it is (or month?) and sometimes we're all just thankful to be clothed and fed, we notice and cherish these days of beginning together again.

Phoebe is here!

Phoebe Hope Dieffenbach arrived on July 15 at 11:30am. She was 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long.  Just as her Momma always thought, she had dark hair and dark eyes and the sweetest little face.  We are beyond thankful for her life and praise God for her safe arrival.  Her name means: bearer of light and we pray she will be a messenger of the Gospel just as the New Testament Phoebe was in Romans 16. Big sisters are smitten (albeit adjusting) and we are surrounded by a tribe of helpers and love.  Lots of pictures to share from the last three weeks!
