It's been a hot week; so hot that the girls have been living in the pool and we've found creative activities to do with cousins (bowling) and lots of painting and crafts. We also spent a fun time with our little friend, Natalie.

Summer Days
We're having the kind of summer days that are so full you fall into bed exhausted. They include hours of playing in water, woods and mud kitchen, hoisting buckets up to "castle" or "ship", popsicles at 9 am and long naps with stories in the afternoon. It is mid summer and the girls are growing! We make pickles and clean up marker from mouths and walls, we visit Nana and watch double rainbows, catch lightning bugs and catch toads in the creek. We go to birthday parties and learn to listen and obey. Our days are so full and yet sometimes so little is accomplished. Perhaps that is the way summer should be?
