Christmas 2016

Christ has come to earth! Rejoice! Our Christmas 2016 was full to overflowing and we're still rather in recovery mode here.  We started off with a special lunch with Nana, then dinner with dear friends, lunch with another dear friend, lots of music and Emmie's first singing experience at church. Then we had Kleeman Christmas dinner and a trip to Lebanon on Christmas Monday.  Lots of happy memories and to top it off, our newest cousin was born just at the tail end of the year. Welcome Cora Grace Kleeman! We are so thrilled you are here. Two little girls are over the moon and can't wait to meet you!

First snow

A quick word from the resident Y Chromosome-holder in the family.

We had our first snow of the Winter today, and although it wasn't much it was followed immediately by some freezing rain, which gave everything a lovely, icy covering.

Here are a few photos from around the place.

Winterberries and Orchids

If truth be told, I don't like winter. I don't mind the cozy fireside, tea drinking, blankets and books. But as a grown up the reality is that you still have to go out in the chill to get groceries, shovel snow, etc.  So, a trip to Longwood with dear friends was just the ticket to boost our (almost) winter doldrums. Just breathing the fresh air and setting our eyes on the green was invigorating and encouraging. The girls love the Children's Garden.  We captured a few Lena moods here that made us laugh and few of Miss Emmeline that seem ever so grown up!  We decorated our porch with some winterberries and had a sweet little crying visitor that made Lena ever so perplexed. It takes one to know one Lena Lu! Have a blessed Christmas and we'll chat in the new year. Radio silence now as we prepare to worship our Baby King.
