Overflowing days

Do you ever get to the end of some busy days and realize they were packed to the brim, literally overflowing? Sometimes life is like that- full of good, bad, hard, beautiful, all woven together. When I think about the last two weeks I wonder where they went and how we packed so much in. Lets see: we had first haircuts, first dentist visits, visited Sam's soccer game, a birthday party, went to Hawk Mountain and saw a rattlesnake, made our first homemade doughnuts, visited with our dear friends the Giffones, who will soon be headed back to Lithuania, played Bach Trio Sonatatas with Marshall Taylor, our beloved friend and celebrated the trio of June birthdays (mine, Dr. Hsu- in absentia), and Marshall's. We spent time on the Freeman School Farm, got a special package from Ireland (Adam bought me Queen's graduation gown!) and bid a fond farewell to Bessie, our beloved van of 23 years.  We're hoping for some quiet summer days to simmer a bit.

Rain, rain, go away

We are all so ready for some sunshine. But in spite of such a rainy spring, we've been busy as beavers. We have managed a great many play dates, strawberry picking, jam, walks at the park, visits with Nana and of course, puddle jumping. We're ready for summer here, so bring on the sunshine!
