Eighteen Months

Our sweet little Phoebe girl is eighteen months and we delight in her. She has discovered singing melodies, independent "reading", and peas. She adores peas with a passion and asks for them all the time. This girlie still does not want to sit still or sleep, but radiates a love for life that is infectious and a blessing during these odd days.  Her favorite activities include "cleaning up mess", "looking for bugs" and playing with big sisters.  The big sisters have been busy growing and learning. Emmeline is getting used to glasses and we have started a new school term.  Lots of chicken care, imaginative play and book reading is happening in these parts and we are thankful to God for His goodness to us.

Christmas bringeth Jesus

 Christmas Eve: By Christina Rossetti

Christmas has a darkness
Brighter than the blazing noon,
Christmas has a chillness
Warmer than the heat of June,
Christmas has a beauty
Lovelier than the world can show:
For Christmas bringeth Jesus,
Brought for us so low.

Earth, strike up your music,
Birds that sing and bells that ring;
Heaven has answering music
For all angels soon to sing:
Earth, put on your whitest
Bridal robe of spotless snow:
For Christmas bringeth Jesus
    Brought for us so low.

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!! Christmas Bringeth Jesus and so does the New Year. Although we do not know what each day will bring, we know this truth: Our Savior has come! And so we rejoice!!
We've been busy making paper bag snowflakes and snowmen, getting new glasses, having Medieval Feasts to end our study of the Middle Ages and rejoicing all around.
