The colors of spring

The way spring comes is kind of sneaky. But the hope it brings is real and the colors are vibrant after long grey and brown winter days. We've been spending a good bit of time on the Perkiomen Trail, catching the bluebell bloom and the wild flowering trees. We've been enjoying farm romps with friends and picnics, pressing flowers for future projects and relishing the warm sunshine. Spring signals new life, a fresh start, given by the Creator each year, reminding us of redemption. Oh, how we've missed you fresh greens to eat and living plants!

He is risen

He is risen indeed! Just as He said! It has been a busy few days, celebrating the resurrection of the Lord and marveling in His mercy and love. You know- this changes everything. The fact that our Lord did not stay in the grave affects every part of our daily life, as well as our future. Praise be to God. Here are a few pictures of the Littles in their Good Friday and Easter finery.

April ponderings

It's hard to believe it is April already, but the grass in turning green, the birds wake us with their song and spring seems to be close to arriving. As we prepare for Holy Week and Easter I am reflecting on the hope of the Gospel, the reminder of an infant King, a Healer, a Shepherd, a Physician, a Savior, who has come to save us. He is our miracle worker, busy cleaning out our hearts, so that we may adore him.

"Ah, God be praised! He has given me this joy in soul and courage. Jesus lives and so shall I: Jesus lives, my flesh and blood. Jesus lives and also will make me alive forever. All my consolation now is this. Jesus lives, it is enough. He lives and says I am His so say I, and rightly so: Jesus' life alone means that eternal life is mine. Here will I enclose myself in Jesus' wounds." Aemelia Juliana- Trostschriften.
