Our talented friend Abigail came over last week to do a 6 month photo shoot of Emmeline- here are some of our favorites- just because they are so much fun! 

Six Months

Dear Emmeline,

You're six months old sweet baby! That's half a year old already.  How thankful we are for your life and for the joy and laughter you've brought to our home.  Our days are full now as you are so busy. You are on the move constantly, though you do sneak a few cuddles in when you're sleepy.  Your grin lights up the room! You're such a good sleeper now and go right to sleep when we put you to bed.  You're eating lots of foods now: brown rice cereal, carrots, avocado, sweet potato, squash, applesauce, pears and peaches.    You still have a fascination with circles and love pulling beards and poking eyes.  You're getting into drawers and trying to climb the steps and furniture.  You love walks and books and music.  The recorder and flute are your new discoveries!  You watched clouds float by and can't figure out cars driving by yet.  You like bubbles and peekaboo and shoe strings.  You're a little shy around new people but in general you're very social.  You talk when you're feeling comfortable and happy and laugh great belly laughs with your Papa.  Happy Half a Year sweet girlie- may you continue to grow in grace as you explore this new world around you. We love you so much!

Yesterday would have been my Mom's 62nd birthday.  So although she's celebrating in a far better way, we celebrated the gift of her life.  Emmie, Nana and I had lunch together at a lovely organic cafe nearby and then walked at the Lake Lenape Park.  As I am now a Mother, I realize afresh the blessing my Mother was.  Although she was not with me as long as I might have chosen, she taught me so much, from the very beginning of my life. What an example she is! Happy Birthday Mom. We miss you and love you. Here are some happy pictures.

Finally Signs of Spring

 We're so excited around here. There are finally signs of spring at our house! Here are a few:

Happenings....

We had a very full week last week with lots of fun times together with family

and friends.  Emmeline has been having weekly piano lessons (not really- she just sits with us as we play).  She also had some special times with cousin Sammy, Granddad and Grammy and Aunt Bec and Uncle Mark.
