Christmastime: O come let us adore Him

Christmas was a bittersweet time for our family this year because of the passing of our beloved Nana.  I hope to do a post entirely devoted to her soon but for now this Christmas will be one that I remember because she went to glory and I said goodbye to a most remarkable woman on Christmas afternoon.  Christmas season was also so full with gatherings and friends, hosting a Nutcracker themed lunch, Levi's first Christmas and trying to catch a wink where we could. Tag team Christmas music playing where we pass off the baby meant that I didn't get to sing as much as in other years, but this year the words to many of the carols seemed especially poignant. They seemed ever so appropriate to our day and time as does the story of Christ's birth.

God rest ye merry gentlemenLet nothing you dismayRemember Christ our SaviorWas born on Christmas DayTo save us all from Satan's pow'rWhen we were gone astrayOh tidings of comfort and joyComfort and joyOh tidings of comfort and joy
