The discovery of Sound

Four Months is fun! It seems as if Emmeline is discovering new things every hour and her awareness of the world around her grows by leaps and bounds.  This week she discovered sounds and the piano.  Since before she was born Emmie has been hearing music. (No surprise there, right?)  She's been sitting at the piano with us since the day she came home from the hospital. But this week she discovered that if she moves her hands on the keys, sound comes out.  Playing a Beethoven Sonata with Miss E proves quite hilarious.  She's also discovered the sound of cats meowing. And she stares them down.

Emmie is working on a tooth, and to our delight she's discovered some self-soothing methods of her thumb and putting teethers or fingers in her mouth.  She's also rolling over like a champ- in fact, she'll roll 10 x in 2 minutes just for the fun of it I think.

Emmeline met Liz this week! What a fun time we had together- Liz and Jenny were roommates in the good old college days and now Miss E has met our dear friend! Woo hoo.

Look what else we're discovering!  Sweet potatoes and rice cereal.  What a huge help to reflux! And so tasty too.

Such cute booties!!!

On Saturday we had dinner with Emmeline's great grandmother (Nana).  She enjoyed all the new sights and sounds.

And on Sunday we had a nice post church waffle lunch with Granddad before heading back to church for Lenten Vespers.  Its been a busy week exploring, but oh so much fun!
