We had a quiet New Year's Eve celebration at home, with some homemade soft pretzels, fried mozzarella, and artichoke/spinach dip.
On New Year's Day, our dear friends Erik, Jane, and their 9-month-old daughter Meredith came for brunch and a few rounds of boggle. It was a nice visit, and after they left (Erik had a violin lesson with a very dedicated student on New Year's Day), we took a short walk in the fresh air.
