Yesterday would have been my Mom's 62nd birthday.  So although she's celebrating in a far better way, we celebrated the gift of her life.  Emmie, Nana and I had lunch together at a lovely organic cafe nearby and then walked at the Lake Lenape Park.  As I am now a Mother, I realize afresh the blessing my Mother was.  Although she was not with me as long as I might have chosen, she taught me so much, from the very beginning of my life. What an example she is! Happy Birthday Mom. We miss you and love you. Here are some happy pictures.

Finally Signs of Spring

 We're so excited around here. There are finally signs of spring at our house! Here are a few:

Happenings....

We had a very full week last week with lots of fun times together with family

and friends.  Emmeline has been having weekly piano lessons (not really- she just sits with us as we play).  She also had some special times with cousin Sammy, Granddad and Grammy and Aunt Bec and Uncle Mark.

Emmeline has so many faces these days. Here are just a sampling along with proof 

that she is on the move! Cats, ready or not- crawling is beginning. So watch out!

Five Months Old!

Emmeline, you're five months old today! You're our sweet love and darling girl. How'd 

we ever live without you? You are so busy these days- moving and kicking and grabbing and looking.

You've discovered eyes- our eyes, dolly's eyes, eyes in books.  You can turn yourself around and over. You love your baths and books and music.  You currently despise your changing table. You've also discovered that you can talk and squeal. So much fun!  You eat so much!  Its snowing tonight, just a few days away from spring and we're so looking forward to spring with you, watching you take in the world. Papa is currently your favorite person in the world, Mama second and the cats mesmerizing.

Celebrations

We had a fun time celebrating Adam's thirtieth birthday this past weekend with family and friends. An added perk was sharing our little Emmie with everyone.  Yeah for wonderful food, fellowship and a great reason to celebrate!

We had such a fun dinner together with our friends the Petersons!

Friday was cooking day- lots of food stuffed in our fridge!

It was like a reunion with so many old college friends!
